What does me being a muslim have anything to do with this? I said in my opinion it's very unhygienic. To me, animal fur that gets into your carpet and furniture not to mention pet dander and fleas and ticks(no matter how much Frontline or Advantage or other products you use to keep fleas and ticks away nothing keeps them away 100%) and when they have a little mishap and mistake your floor for a toilet doesn't sound very hygienic to me.

Yes I know it can be cleaned up but who is going to carry around a steam cleaner everytime the animal accidentally makes a mess on the floor? Yes I know that is why people housetrain their animals but still things like that happen and also those little nice surprises of vomit they may do because of hairballs or their food just didn't agree with their stomach.

Oh and about the " muslim upbringing" you happened to mention.....I lived in a christian home and they felt the same way I did about not having animals in the home....

No pets in the home. It's very unhygienic in my opinion.....

My friend once picked up a one eyed stray kitten off the street :)
He gave it a home and food to eat for years. I'll never understand why he did that, you see, he's the most irresponsible guy I know. Total "Rockstar".
